"Notre Dame" — Charlie Hickey

Los Angeles native Charlie Hickey released his debut EP today, Count the Stairs. Produced by Marshall Vore with select backing vocals by Phoebe Bridgers, the EP showcases Hickey’s talent for storytelling. In particular, the gentle and understated final song of the EP “Notre Dame” is a stripped piano ballad with lush imagery. Pairing bittersweet lyrics and a simple melody, the song encapsulates growing pains, telling the story of a night gone awry.
