From the ease of ordering, informative live action videos showing the attributes of each product, to the fantastic customer service (next day delivery with many in transit updates) I was impressed at every corner. The surprises didn't stop there. When my Echo arrived I was took back by the beautiful finish and attention to detail and couldn't wait to play it, but first I checked out the accessory kit ($20 extra) which had everything you need to get started including a cool cord cheat sheet for beginners. The first thing I noticed was it's fully tuned and ready to go (no buzzing frets, dead straight finger board) and the sound was that of a much more expensive guitar...I must have played it for hours and kept pinching myself over the great deal Orangewood offers. You really can't go wrong with this company and I can safely give them an 11 on bang for the buck.
I started enjoying my ECHO the day before Thanks Giving, but am still amazed how great this guitar plays and sounds. The finish alone just makes me stop in my tracks to enjoy the beautiful wood luster. Then of course I have to play it even if it's for a few minutes before I have to leave for work. Easily tunes up and stays in tune. The Machines operate with ease and I really like the hard rubberized grip too. The Gig Bag is the best I have encountered, though I have a high quality hard case that fits this guitar, I think I will be using the Orangewood Gig Bag instead. I am a fan, ...and trying to think of way to get another one stealthily into the house without "management" knowing. LOL!
I'm a big researcher. I do not buy without researching. Everything kept bringing me back to the material, build, and sound of Orangewood for the price. The Orangewood Echo is breathtakingly beautiful. Not knowing fully what to expect when I opened the gig bag (which is super sturdy and nice by the way), I was blown away. I don't know a ton about guitars quite yet, but there's no question that this thing looks like it costs more than its price tag. Looking forward to learning how to play on this beauty!
First off, I've never played. Purchased this for my 43rd Birthday. Determined to learn as I've always wanted to play but was not brave enough. The customer service is amazing , personalized texts and emails along the way of delivery. Un-packing is thoughtful. Little postcard saying hello. Craftsmanship seems exceptional for the price. Been learning on my own and play a little every day. Perfect for me. Learned the basic chords and can play as well as search for easy acoustic songs and play along with them. About three months in and anticipate this guitar to last a very long time. Would highly recommend.
I just received my Echo after a long 10 day waiting period. The guitar overall is fantastic although I did notice one of the braces appeared to be very rough to the touch and not sanded. Not a big deal. The action is ok. A little higher than I'd like, but I will adjust it to my liking. There is also a slight buzzing on the B string and a few, very small flaws in the finish details but for a guitar that costs under $300 it is truly amazing and it sounds great. That said I am not a fan of Earnie Ball strings so I'll be swapping them out for a set of D'Addario lights. Orangewood is doing a fantastic job with a great mission behind their business model. Thank you Orangewood. I have my sights set on adding the Sage to my collection in the near future.
