Let me first start off and say I would highly reccommend not buying one of their guitars from amazon. I bought one from amazon and I was greatly underwhelmed, it also had problems like a high fret. So I contacted their outstanding and matchless customer support and got a replacement from Orangewood.com When the guitar arrived after they sent it to me, not from Amazon, I was over the moon with the sheer quality I got from a $135 guitar. When I first strummed it I was elated with how this guitar sounded, considering the price, I would compare it to a lower grade Taylor. I work in a guitar store and i handle acoustics all the time and this guitar shocked me. From the bone nut and saddle to the seemless binding and excellent fretwork, you literally can not get a better guitar for the money. These guys really know what they’re doing when it comes to setting up a guitar and building amazing guitars for such little cost. Well done Orangewood!
I do the setup for all my electrics and those I sell after a 'refurb' ... i learned from pro setup and luthier guys in Richmond who pal around with Lindy Fralin... This one was delivered in a Cordura, lightly padded bag and needed only a truss rod tweak and a few nut slots barely touched up (I have nut slot files). The top setup pro locally saw it and told me I had done everything right and this is a nice guitar... not like a Taylor but 'good enough' for most anyone after a good acoustic. As a 'carry about' or casual acoustic... this is plenty of guitar once it is set up just right. I keep a Guild D240E as my 'real' A/E and the 2 guitars look remarkably the same. The Guild is a lot more guitar all over, but costs $200 more, new.
Not a bad guitar, Higher end ones were out of stock so tried this one, had to adjust truss rod and very tight and got 1/8 turn to loosen and started playing and truss rod poped back to where
it was. To get relief so not buzzing might try 13 size strings to bow the neck. Had it about 6 months would recommend a higher end guitar.
