Just got it today and I luv it! No need for a honeymoon period as I also own the Victoria which I also luv! I bought the hog Rey a year ago but sent it back because it had a buzz I couldn't adjust out. Who ever is setting up the Rey guitars now should get a raise because it is perfect; saddle height, fret ends, no Buzz! I also had the spruce Rey but it didn't have the depth of the hog tonewise but was also set up perfectly. Hard to believe Vicky and Remy are all laminate but to my ears they sound better than many solid top and all solid guitars I have owned. Now if they only made the Victoria in mahogany as well...
I’ve been a musician for over 20 years now. I have 15 different higher end model acoustics. I wanted to get something to play around on, and bought an orangewood Rey mahogany. I’m in love with this guitar. I’ve found myself playing it more than my other very expensive guitars. You can’t beat the quality especially for the price. I personally recommend this guitar. For beginners or for advanced players. It’s a great guitar for performance or for a back up guitar! Thanks orangewood!!
I've had my Rey Mahogany for a few days now, and I love it. I'm a guitar newbie, but I love the look and feel and sound. I have a buddy who's a guitarist in a touring band, and he was impressed, too. Very happy with my purchase, and I look forward to improving using this guitar!
