The Neck

Sounds good. Holds tune. The neck is a Gibson kinda thing though - I should’ve checked closer on that. Feels thick and clunky. And the action up around the 6th or 7th fret isn’t quite right. Very stiff.

The Sound

I have been playing this Oliver Mahogany for two weak and it still sounds very tinny, I do not like the sound of this guitar and will sell it, that is what you get when you buy guitar made in China. Orangewood guitars stop buying bad cheap guitars

Great starter guitar. Sounds great. The promise to come tuned was not even close to being fulfilled, but it was clean and in great shape. A quick tune with assistance from an app took 3 minutes. I am happy with the look and playability of the guitar.

Top Wood Guide

Spruce

A classic tonewood for acoustic guitars, spruce is a well-rounded, durable wood that’s suitable for many styles of playing.

Torrefied Spruce

A vintage-inspired upgrade, torrefied spruce is roasted to remove excess moisture, so the guitar continues to play at peak performance.

Mahogany

A common tonewood for top, back, and sides, Mahogany is known for its clarity and evenness to accentuate the mid-range tones.

Cedar

An excellent topwood for classical guitars, cedar is perfect for delicate playing styles, like fingerpicking and soft strumming.
