Happy to own this guitar

Build quality and setup is excellent. Everyone else has elaborated on that. I've come here to talk about strings and tone. This is the second all-mahogany grand auditorium style guitar I've purchased, the other one being a Washburn G12S*, and just like the Washburn this guitar didn't come alive for me personally in a tonal sense until I put some Ernie Ball Silk & Steel strings on it. The warmth this imparts to the sound is the more subjective element in the equation but they also articulate or "ring through" better to my ears on this type of guitar and have proven to be critical to my playing enjoyment. Tone is a profoundly personal thing of course but I want to put this out there for what it's worth nonetheless, at least for those who might like to experiment with different strings.

In any case the Morgan Mahogany Live is a legitimately interesting and perfectly playable and enjoyable addition to ANY guitar collection in my opinion. 5 stars for offering this experience at such an affordable price point.

(*for the record the Washburn required an extensive setup before it would play to my satisfaction)

Quality Build

I really like the shape of the neck and the fit/finish of this guitar. The action could be little lower, but it's a decent guitar. To be perfectly honest. I have a Mahogany laminated top from you guys and it is set up perfectly. Such a nice tone. This guitar's tone (Oliver) isn't close to it, but plugged in, sounds great. I've sent two guitars back because the action was too high, but I guess it's really about who does the final finishing on them. Some techs are better than others. That being said...it's still a heck of a deal and the craftsmanship is unparralelled for this price. Very happy.

Morgan Mahogany Natural Burst Live: Gem for a dollar

I'm an intermediate to advanced level player. I've played on many guitars, but this guitar is particularly special.

Firstly, let's talk about the build quality. For the $250-$300 range, you wouldn't expect this level of craftsmanship. It's incredibly durable, the coating is flawless, and the strings sit close to the neck.

Playability-wise, this guitar is a dream. It's perfect for beginners and amateurs like myself. Every note you play sounds exactly as you'd expect.

In terms of sound, there's nothing extraordinarily special, but the notes ring true, which is all you can really ask for in this price range. Unlike other guitars I've tried in this price bracket, this one maintains its sound quality even beyond the 8th or 9th fret. While you might not get the same distinct tones available in more expensive instruments when you play fingerstyle, it still sounds accurate, and that's all I needed - and I got it 100%.

I did encounter an issue with one of the tuners; there were marks and dents on it, but Orangewood promptly sent me replacements.

Just give it a try; you won't regret it.

Better than Expected

Let's be real. How good could a < $300 guitar really be? Well, I took a chance after watching many videos about Orangewood and I cannot be more pleased. The fit and finish of this guitar is great. And it sounds amazing for what it is. I would definitely recommend this guitar to beginners and intermediate players alike.

Thanks for your review, Russell! We appreciate you taking a chance!
