Torrefied Spruce True Love

Very, Very, Very happy with my Hudson Torrefied Spruce. I was looking for an acoustic/electric for live performance but didn't want to alter my 10 year old Martin. My Luthier recommended an Orangewood Sage but after researching models on the website I thought the Spruce was my best option. The solid construction and playability of the Orangewood is on par with my Martin and it's certainly pretty. A nice hardcase to boot and all for a very good price. A little trepidation at buying without playing but sooo glad I did. Guitar True Love in just 2 weeks.

I work at a local music store and have played probably 20 guitars since I started looking for a new one. There were only 3 that I thought were absolutely perfect: the Taylor 414CE-R, the Taylor 618E, and the Orangewood Hudson Live.

so far so good

better than expected…. I’ve owned many vintage acoustics and regretted selling each and every one. But couldn’t justify the $ of buying a vintage D-28 or D-35 no matter how much I missed those I’ve owned. This isn’t just a “good guitar for the money”… it’s a good guitar REGARDLESS of the money. Grover machine heads, Tusq nut and compensated saddle, LR Baggs Anthem pickup and a decent hardshell case. Couldn’t ask for more. Very pleased with my Hudson Live.

Love it!

Great Guitar regardless of price.

I've been playing for over 30 years now, seriously the last 15. I have coveted a high-end guitar for years and just could not pull the trigger. Spending hours in humidity-controlled rooms strumming the offerings of the greats. This Hudson plays/sounds awesome. Better than their mid-line offerings well over a grand. Don't be scared
