Orangewood Dolores

I took my Dolores to my guitar guy legitimate business. He liked it. He suggested going to a Guitar Store and play other guitars to compare. I did that.
My Delores:
Visual appearance = 5 stars.
Sound = 5 stars.
Playability = 5 stars.
Construction = 5 stars.
Orangewood stay focused to continue building decent guitars.

Thanks for your review, Ralph! Enjoy your Dolores!

so so at best!

There are many pros: solidly built, nice finish/sunburst, came setup and it was a good setup, Cons: dull tone, no brilliance the sound is unlike the mahogany guitars I have owned.Is it real mahogany or some other similar wood? I would say that for the cost it was worth it. Good case included.

"For the money"

I keep seeing reviews that say how Orangewood guitars are good "for the money". I would like to contend that they are great guitars period, irrespective of price point. I have had this Dolores for two weeks now and I am quite happy with it. I especially appreciate the fact that it is a tad slimmer than traditional dreadnoughts, which for someone such as myself with shorter arms, has been a godsend. Additionally I have found the neck to be a nice, thinnish, "C" shape, which has proved to be comfortable for my hands. Lastly, the finish is a smooth satin, which is a personal preference over gloss and a welcome difference from a lot of other slope shoulder guitars. I can see myself getting many years of enjoyment out of playing this.

Thank you for your review! We're so happy to hear that you are enjoying your Dolores!
