Really enjoying my new guitar so far! I’m a beginner and started one month ago on a nylon string guitar. So glad I switched to the echo, it sounds great to me, much more vibrant. Also, love that the neck isn’t a glossy finish, my palms sweat and that made playing difficult on the nylon but that isn’t a problem here. Aesthetically speaking, the guitar is beautiful, no issues at all with the cosmetic aspect. I would recommend this guitar to any friend that would like to start playing guitar but wants something a little nicer than an absolute beginner instrument.
Perfectly happy with my purchase. Guitar holds up next to guitars that are much more expensive. Sounds good, plays well. Fantastic guitar for any level of player.
So I heard about Orangewood from YouTube. Everyone was giving them rave reviews on how great they were for the price. I loved the way the looked and from what people said they sounded decent and played great out of the box. So I decided to treat myself with a birthday present and to get an Echo. It was in the price range I wanted as I'm not a gigging player. And it looked (and sounded) amazing.
The first one I received was... well it looked great. But unfortunately it buzzed all over the place. I decided to give them another shot and go for an exchange. Which was no hassle - just took an extra week. So this is the second one I've gotten from them.
First off it does look amazing for a sub $300 guitar. Fit and finish looks really good. I really like the satin neck. The binding, fretboard, work around the sound hole... it all looks fantastic. The top appears to be 3 pieces of spruce and the body is sprayed with a thick coat of poly. Definitely no fear of getting a chip in it unless you hit it with a hammer.
Then I played it. If you like mid to high range you will love this guitar. Its just like a Taylor when it comes to sound. Just.... less of it. There is absolutely no low end on it. And it isn't very resonant. It's probably the quietest acoustic I've ever owned.
