Morgan Live

Awesome Guitar, below average Set-Up

I was super excited for my Morgan Live. It does sound great, but the set-up was done below par. I also have the Austen which shoots way above its price point and sounds full, rich, warm, yet bright. The set-up on my Austen was done to perfection. However, the Morgan Live was not set up great, which is disappointing since it is more expensive than the Austen and I expected better. There are loud obnoxious fret buzz on the D string at frets 9 and up, fret buzz on the G string at frets 10 and up. The overall build and sound of the guitar is great, but the setup was not done properly. With that being said, I still appreciate the Orangewood brand and their build. Setups need to be done with more precision and care though. I will buy more guitars from Orangewood in the future no doubt, and recommend Orangewood to anyone looking for an affordable guitar that shoots above its price point.

Thanks for your review. Please feel free to reach out to our customer service team (hello@orangewoodguitars.com) for assistance with your order.

Previous Orangewood owner

I love Orangewood guitars, I have one myself, but I take them overseas to friends of mine , where good and affordable guitars are not available. I think maybe I have bought in the neighborhood of 10 guitars so far

Thanks for your continued support!

Happy Customer.

Guitar Quality is better than good. Action is better than expected. Yet price is very good. I've not see guitar that good for price you paid for. I'll change only strings for next lower gauge. Thank you for beautiful guitar.👍❤️🕊️🌍👌👍👏

Thanks for your review! We're thrilled to hear that your Morgan has exceeded your expectations. Enjoy!

Top Wood Guide

Spruce

A classic tonewood for acoustic guitars, spruce is a well-rounded, durable wood that’s suitable for many styles of playing.

Torrefied Spruce

A vintage-inspired upgrade, torrefied spruce is roasted to remove excess moisture, so the guitar continues to play at peak performance.

Mahogany

A common tonewood for top, back, and sides, Mahogany is known for its clarity and evenness to accentuate the mid-range tones.

Cedar

An excellent topwood for classical guitars, cedar is perfect for delicate playing styles, like fingerpicking and soft strumming.
