Best AE guitar I have ever played, and that's 50 years of playing. Wish they were to make more!
I am a return customer, which in itself indicates my trust in purchasing and the obvious satisfaction with Orangewood’s products. During October 2019 I had purchased the Oliver Jr. I was impressed with quality a sweet sound, and of course the modest price I paid. It’s purpose was two fold. One it’s’ size was appropriate for younger players without compromising quality. This time around I chose the Oliver Live. As before I was greatly satisfied with the quality, sound, appearance and quick delivery. With just a small tweak of the truss bar and favorite strings it has become my obsession. To those whom are contemplating Orangewood guitars do not hesitate. You will be amply rewarded and save some serious money in doing so. I have been ‘studying ‘ the guitar for 20 years and have played Taylor’s and Martins’. I live in Nazareth, Pa 3 miles from the factory and demo room which I abuse, as a comparison of other guitars. Orangewood has been my choice based on price, quality, appearance and sound while saving me several thousand dollars. Thank you Orangewood. AJP Nazareth, PA
I was looking for a reasonably-priced instrument that I would feel comfortable taking on my travels. Having seen the many great reviews both here and on YouTube, I decided to take a chance on Orangewood.
I've had my Oliver M Live for two weeks now and, overall, I'm very happy with it. Right out of the box it only needed some tuning and was ready to play. My only concern is that the action is just a bit higher than I would like it (though still very playable). After letting it acclimate I've adjusted the truss rod about as much as I think I should, so some tweaking to the nut and/or saddle may be needed. If you good folks at Orangewood have any other suggestions, please pass them along.
Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Orangewood to anyone looking for a quality instrument at reasonable prices.
