Beautiful, Resonant Tone

Love this guitar! The resonance and tone is astonishingly beautiful for the price point. It is my opinion that you'd be hard-pressed to find a better sounding, higher quality instrument for your money.

My Ava st all solid.

The back and sides on my Ava looks just like my Oliver mahogany,I don't see any different from solid to laminated.

Mostly good!

The guitar sounds amazing. It’s easy to hold, play, and sounds fantastic.

My only two complaints: the finish was much lighter than the picture. Much, much lighter and there was some unexpected disappointment because I wanted it to look like the picture. It’s practically white instead of the nice caramel color (a little nit picky, I realize, but I do like a darker finish).

The other complaint is that I order the kit with it. But my guitar came without it. I let Orangewood know but I’m still waiting. It’s only been 11 days so I expect to get it soon. They were very sweet about it and said they would send me some extra guitar stings.
But I still wish the finish was what was advertised on their website.

Very nice guitar

About a year ago I took a chance and bought a Brooklyn the sound was pretty good but not as deep or resonant as my two martin solid wood spruce tops with rosewood back and sides but I found myself loving the way it played and found myself playing it most of the time. So when the Ava was back in stock I bought one and now it is my best buddy. Great guitar thank you Orangewood

Thanks for your review, Bill!

Incredible playing/sounding instrument

Truly. I was a skeptic. I have a Martin 000-15 and a Martin OM-42 and a Gibson Custom J45. I love high end guitars. Their quality, their unique sounds and response, etc. This Ava is incredible. It’s responsive, resonant, and plenty of punch. Plays well out of the factory (though I still had a set up done by my luthier) and holds it on against any of the guitars I have named. Sure, it’s missing some of the shimmer you get from the OM-42 but it’s also 1/10 the price! For the money, one or the best guitars I have ever played. Get one.
