Brooklyn Live Worth the money

Excellent guitar for the money. Had some hicups with delivery and had to wait an extra week.Belly of guitar seemed like it was bulging a little when I unpacked it, but I think because of the weather changes from west coast to upstate ny in the cold wet weather had an effect on it. It seemed to be better after it warmed up the next day. I did change the strings to 11-52s . 12-54s a bit too much for my hands. Orangewood are sending a complimentary set of strings,,wish I told them to send a different size, but I will pay it forward and give to someone else. They told me if I had any further issues I could return it. Had some white stuff inside of guitar on the wood like splashes of something. I was able to clean it when I did the string change, plus there was a small piece of wood inside the body. I couldn’t see that it came from this guitar.. strange. Anyways I am very happy with the guitar. It is my 3rd purchase from Orangewood. Previously purchased the Morgan Live a few years ago and a ukulele. ☺️

Thanks for your review! We're glad to hear you're enjoying yout Brooklyn Live.

Orangewood Brooklyn Live: WOW! 5 Stars

Wow! Orangewood does it right. My new Orangewood Brooklyn Live grand concert is a beautiful, playable good quality guitar. It's hard to believe I got such a beautiful SOLID wood top acoustic electric guitar for a little over $400 including a SET UP! accessory kit and a quality gig bag. The website experience and customer support was excellent. Shipping was very quick and the box arrived undamaged perfect condition and there was a fragile warning on it. Quality control and set up was top notch, action was much better than I expected nice and low, no buzzing, no sharp frets, no issues with the finish or cosmetics. One tuner knob seems a bit tight so I have to check that out maybe loosen the end screw a bit. Strap button / input jack is a bit tiny so using a different strap than the one included may be an issue but these are very minor things. The important part is how impressed I am with the quality and playability and the beauty of this guitar. I could not find anything close in the stores for what I was looking for: a smaller, lighter grand concert size with a solid wood top, without having to spend $500 or more. I'm not used to the medium light strings but I'm going to stick with them since that is what Orangewood most likely recommends on this model. The mahogany gloss finish is striking and the neck is not glossy which is an excellent feature. The gold tuners, the bindings and the inlays are so nice. The LR Baggs system plugged into my acoustic amp is also very impressive and sounds great, simple to use and controls are in the sound hole instead of on the body of the guitar which is real nice. The grand concert size also sounds great acoustically of course using fingers or a pick. I'm very happy so far with my purchase so thanks Orangewood!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We’re thrilled to hear that your Brooklyn Live is everything you hoped for and more—your feedback truly means the world to us, and we're honored to be part of your guitar journey!
Loosening the screw on the tuner should help with the tightness, but feel free to reach out to or customer service team for assistance via email at hello@orangewoodguitars.com.

Nice guitar

I really like the Brooklyn live guitar! It is a beautiful guitar and plays very well and the action is very nice. Probably the first guitar I’ve played that I really didn’t want to change anything on the setup.

Almost perfect

The guitar itself is gorgeous and very comfortable to play. It is clear that it was made with quality in mind.

My only complaint was that the nut on the D string was cut a little low and created a buzz, especially when using a capo.

This Brooklyn Live went back? But I foresee another great Orangwood guitar or two in my future.

I just got my Brooklyn Live Mahogany yesterday and can't put it down!
I'm liking everything about this guitar. The feel, the action, the way it sounds, and the ease of play is just great.

Cedar

An excellent topwood for classical guitars, cedar is perfect for delicate playing styles, like fingerpicking and soft strumming.
