This is the first guitar I ever bought with my own money and I am absolutely loving it. I'm a beginner, so I went with a smaller and less expensive option. But I gotta say that it doesn't feel like that at all. I'd recommend this guitar to anyone out there who's wanting to play the guitar. Perfect size, feel, and sound.
Just make sure to buy humidifiers to well maintain the guitar.
I really didn't know what to expect and for the price I didn't expect much. Having already purchased a Ukulele from Orangewood and being satisfied, I figured why not. If it proved playable, I'd have a little guitar to take wherever. Upon first test drive, I noticed some flaws. Not the highest quality wood, but again, for a bit over a buck, that didn't bother me. Upon first strum I did not like the tone. At all. It quickly occurred to me to put the pick down. I did and it made a world of difference. I generally use very heavy picks with a light touch. No go on this guitar no matter the touch. I did try a medium pick and it sounded fine. Important stuff. Frets were perfect. Nut cut well. As long as a medium pick or fingers, sounds great. Some cosmetic issues keep me from giving this a 5, but keep in mind, this rating is compared to similar style and price point guitars. It's not a taylor, but plays well, sounds pleasing and I wouldn't cry if I lost it. I'd just buy another. :0) So far with two purchases, I can't say enough about this company. Great communication. I've had minor issues, they made them right. Quickly and painlessly. Will always consider more from them for my guitar habit!
The shipping was fantastic and the size is perfect for her. The price was great. This model was recommended by her guitar teacher and I was glad it was very affordable ..We have her second lesson next week and I can't wait to see how well my daughter can play it.
Honestly, you don’t (or shouldn’t) normally expect much out of a sub-$200 guitar. So, when I first started hearing about Orangewood, I was skeptical. After watching video reviews and comparisons, I decided to jump on board. I was not disappointed. First, the guitar does not feel cheap, it feels well made a good in the hands. Second, the amount of sound that comes out of this “mini” guitar is not mini. It is clean, mellow, and the low notes have a deep resonance to them that you wouldn’t expect. The action is great, and what little buzzing there was was easily fixed with the tools in the add-on kit. Overall, the quality was a huge surprise, the sound even more so. Bravo!
We are so happy with the purchase of this guitar. My daughter is starting lessons and I was unsure what to get her. Her teacher suggested Orangewood and the Dana for quality and value and I can honestly say it is an amazing guitar! We are very happy with the feel, sound and overall excellent quality! And, I'm extremely impressed with the customer service Orangewood provides. Our guitar was missing the pick guard and when I contacted Orangewood, not only did I get a response within a couple of hours, they sent out the pick guard immediately and we received it within a few days - just in time for her next lesson. This will not be the last Orangewood guitar we purchase. Thank you for great quality at a great price along with EXCELLENT customer service!
