I bought this guitar as a cheap "camp guitar" but I am blown away by the quality. The ton is excellent and it feels great to play.
I'm primarily an electric player. I had an old dreadnought but just didn't care for the size. The Oliver is perfect - slightly smaller size, but still has a nice full sound. My main concern about going with a smaller sized guitar was the loss of low-end sound, which I like. Not a problem at all with the Oliver. The neck is super comfortable and I love the satin finish on the neck. If I had to make any complaints, it would be that I prefer a glossy finish on the body, but that's VERY minor and I preferred the tone of the mahogany to one of the shinier tops.
I can't believe I paid less than $200 for this guitar. AND it comes with a VERY nice gig bag. Don't hesitate to choose Orangewood if you're looking for an acoustic guitar.
This guitar is great looking, nice sound, easy action and so affordable. This should have been my first acoustic guitar instead of my fifth!
