Love My New Guitar!

I have not played a guitar for about 30 years so when I retired I decided to take it up again and found the Orangewood brand. The ratings were so good compared to the low prices that I was skeptical - however - it was an amazing investment in a beautiful guitar that plays so well. I'm loving learning again and playing every day!!!

Early Brooklyn impressions

I’m no expert but very pleased after 3 days… this is my second Orangewood. The first is the low priced Victoria and it been excellent for learning and the action is great and verified by a salesman at a high end guitar store. Now on the Brooklyn. It hasn’t disappointed. The fit and finish are outstanding. The action is great but I will eventually switch to 11’s. I’m 70 with arthritis so lighter strings are better for me. The solid top is giving more volume than the layered top in the Vic. I give it a 5 star at this point. I do wonder if a satin finish even if just on the top would do even more to allow the top to be even more expressive. Just a thought. Not a complaint.

Brooklyn Almost Perfect is PERFECT

I just received my new Brooklyn guitar from Orangewood this morning. After about 4 hours of allowing it to acclimate to my home I have been playing it for 3 hours! I am really amazed at the sound. I bought it for fingerpicking and couldn’t be happier! I actually bought it from the “almost perfect” sale page but I cannot find anything wrong with the finish except for a very light scratch under the finish on the back! I am so grateful for the quality and price! This “almost perfect” is actually perfect! It was packaged so well, very nice gig bag included, and in tune after the trip from California to Oregon! It is set up perfectly! Action is perfect! It looks amazing as well! This is my 2nd Orangewood guitar, my first Oliver Jr for my couch guitar is also perfect! But this Brooklyn has the full size warmth and playability I was looking for ! What an amazing company! Quality, value, and playability is hard to find today. Thank you Orangewood Guitars! Never change!

Top Wood Guide

Spruce

A classic tonewood for acoustic guitars, spruce is a well-rounded, durable wood that’s suitable for many styles of playing.

Torrefied Spruce

A vintage-inspired upgrade, torrefied spruce is roasted to remove excess moisture, so the guitar continues to play at peak performance.

Mahogany

A common tonewood for top, back, and sides, Mahogany is known for its clarity and evenness to accentuate the mid-range tones.

Cedar

An excellent topwood for classical guitars, cedar is perfect for delicate playing styles, like fingerpicking and soft strumming.
