Brooklyn Mahogany

I have really enjoyed thus guitar! This is just a beautiful guitar that play as well as it looks the set up was right on! I take this guitar everywhere and get compliments consistently. The most common thing i hear is this guitar is is on par with much more expensive guitars from very reputable makers. Orangewood will be the first place I look for my next guitar!

Good guitar

Made small adjustments to my Brooklyn live but it’s an awesome guitar and so far my best acoustic one. Will definitely be adding more orange wood guitars to my collection

Great mid-range guitar!

I recently bought the brooklyn live and when i opened it up, the first thing i noticed was the beautiful mahogony top. Another thing that stood out to me was the Element VTC pickup which by the way sounds amazing. I’ve had many orangewoood guitars before, and this is definitely going to be played at some live gigs. Thanks orangewood for the great quality guitar!

Brooklyn Mahogany Live

The guitar is beautiful in appearance and finish. The tone is excellent- fuller than my Taylor 314CE. The neck is straight and the setup out of the box was excellent. I did adjust the truss rod to bring the neck a bit flatter to help with the action, and I also took a slight amount off the bridge saddle. I believe the action is as low as possible and the guitar is still hard to play particularly with first position chords. I put Martin Lifespan Custom Lights on the Brooklyn and Taylor. The Taylor is significantly easier to play, and holds tuning, compared to the Brooklyn, but the acoustic tone and projection is not as good, to my ears. I haven’t had the opportunity to play through the Anthem system, but my past experiences with that pickup have been decent. Overall, I don’t believe I lost anything in this purchase.

Top Wood Guide

Spruce

A classic tonewood for acoustic guitars, spruce is a well-rounded, durable wood that’s suitable for many styles of playing.

Torrefied Spruce

A vintage-inspired upgrade, torrefied spruce is roasted to remove excess moisture, so the guitar continues to play at peak performance.

Mahogany

A common tonewood for top, back, and sides, Mahogany is known for its clarity and evenness to accentuate the mid-range tones.

Cedar

An excellent topwood for classical guitars, cedar is perfect for delicate playing styles, like fingerpicking and soft strumming.
