I really like my Morgan Live!!!!

I am very impressed with the Morgan Live guitar. It arrived 2 days after I ordered it. I love how bright it sounds. It is easy to play. The electronics are good. The gig bag is second to none. I wish my Fender gig bad was as good. I also have a Takamine acoustic and a Fender Tele. I play my Morgan Live more than my other guitars. I plan to buy an Ava in the future. I am glad to be part of the Orangewood family. Thank you for making a great product at a very reasonable price.

Thanks for your review, Tracy! We are glad you are a part of the Orangewood family as well!
It's surprisingly good.

I'm so pleasantly surprised by this orangewood acoustic. It's fantastic. For less than 300 dollars I have a amazingly setup guitar that is fun to play. I don't have to be scared to take it out. I have owned a lot of high end acoustic guitars. To be honest this guitar doesn't sound like a 3000 dollar guitar and it's not supposed to. It does sound really good though and it plays so good. It's really fun to play. My next purchase will be one of the solidwood guitars that orangewood makes now.

These guitars come set up beautifully and that in itself is worth the money. The value in being able to play a guitar comfortably out of the box is huge. I've bought guitars that cost five times as much that didn't play like this out of the box or ever for that matter. It's a fun guitar and a very happy purchase. I highly highly recommend.

Generally pleased

I've had my Morgan for a couple of weeks now. I have to say that I am generally pleased with the quality and the setup, and very pleased with the sound. I think this guitar is a great value. I recently spent the day at my local GC store trying out about a dozen guitars in prices ranging from $400 dollars to $3000 dollars. None of them impressed me instantly as much as the Morgan did. I have been looking for a guitar with a nice full open sound. Every one of the Taylors and Martins I tried sounded dead and muffled to me. Of course my local GHC does a terrible job of keeping stings fresh and setting up their demos.

Anyway, the Morgan has the sound I was looking for. Really like the sound and playability. But, it is a $275 guitar so there are a few long term concerns. First, the saddle seems to already be shaved quite low, which accounts for the nice setup and playability right out of the box. I'm afraid there isn't much room for future adjustment. Second, the top seems slightly bulged and swollen to me. I'm afraid that this may cause the bridge to lift at some point. I'll just have to keep an eye on this for now. The top wood is nice but I do see some obvious bad spots in the grain that probably wouldn't have made it through QC at some of the major makers, but it's the sound and playability that matter most to me.

To sum it up, for the price I really do like this guitar. I'm glad I bought it and would do so again. If I were to go play it in the store along with the others I tried, I know I would have chosen the Morgan over most of the other much more expensive guitars. I am very likely going to order one of the solid wood models in the future, I'm just going sit tight for a few months until I see how this one holds up.

It is really a fun and satisfying guitar to play!

Martin quality!!!

I had heard of Orangewood guitars from my brother a few months ago, and was immediately intrigued. I thought there's no way you can get the same quality as a Martin guitar for less than $600, and yet here I am with my $275 guitar that plays just as good if not better than Martin. amazing guitar and can't wait to get one of there ukuleles!!!!!! 11/10

morgan spruce setup

the guitar is very nice and clean looking guitar that alone is worth the price the only problem is the setup it is lousy the action is high it will not stay in tune and the g,b. and high e are sticking on the nut also the low e and a have fret buzz I am going to contact orangewood and see what they will do so stay tuned.
