Hudson Live Orangewood Review

I'm amazed at the quality of this $954 guitar. It's as good as my $4k Gibson...it's that good. Super nice setup out of the box, very playable, great intonation, projects well, clear articulation of each string. Frankly I wouldn't have bought the Gibson if I'd have know about these guitars.

You get a better guitar then what your paying for.

This guitar plays and sounds and feels like a high end Taylor but with its own unique sound. My guitar has some very minor finish flaws where the fingerboard meets the neck, but they gave me a 5% discount for it. That’s the only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of the flaws. Great guitar.

Sounds great plugged in

Sounds great plugged in
I love the satin finish frets are nicely polished. Nicely set up. Easy to play low action. Sonically very well balanced string to string. Does not have a huge amount of sound output I’m not sure if this is because of that electronics, The finish the bridge heinght or because it needs more break in time ive been letting it out to dry. I’ll keep Strumming And let you know in a few months

WOW ME Hudson Live

After reading about the quailty and listening to some reviews on You-Tube, I figured what do I have lose but time in that Orangewood provides you time to "test-drive" their guitars. Usually I like to play a guitar first to see if it fits my expectations related to ease of play and quality of sound being produced. So, I purchased the Hudson Live. The guitar arrived very promptly. Opening the box to find a well made guitar case and inside a very eye appealing guitar. What I first noticed when I played the guitar, was that it did not take very much in terms of strumming to provide a very pleasing response (High-mid-low).I have many high end guitars, but something in the Hudsons ability to produce a tone at such a level was amazing. The neck, fret board all feel very comfortable. The LR Baggs Anthem addition just brings the Hudson to another level in terms of its tone quality. I personally feel this is comparable to a Martin D-18, which you would pay much more for. Keep up the GREAT work.
