Almost too nice to take to work...

Received my Brooklyn acoustic about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I bought this to take to work as I didn't want to leave one of my two Taylor guitars in my office. Problem is, it's almost too nice to take to work. While I was very apprehensive about buying a guitar online - without first seeing an playing it - the finish on the guitar is perfect, and after a change to D'Addario XT Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings (custom light) I could not believe the tonal quality, the volume, and the sustain for a guitar at this price point. The setup was almost perfect right out of the box. If you are looking for terrific value in a concert-style guitar, I think you would be extremely hard-pressed to find a better buy than the Orangewood Brooklyn. It even comes with a really well-built gig bag with a plush lining. This was my first Orangewood, but it certainly won't be my last.

Little better than average

I as not overwhelmed by this guitar like most reviews seem to suggest others are. It is fine for the price, but the setup on mine is not good at all. Strings very high and the frets need dressed.

Really impressed!

Very pleased and really impressed with the quality of my new Orangewood Brooklyn guitar. I usually expect a trip to the luthier with a new guitar but this one not only looks beautiful but was set up /intonated really well out of the box. I like the rubberized grips on the tuning machines and the guitar stays in tune. The solid Sitka spruce top projects nicely. The sustainable ovangkol fretboard is nice and dark, like ebony. The wing inlays and abalone give it a really nice asthetic and the appearance of a much pricier guitar. I can't recommend this guitar enough! Hoping Orangewood continues to keep quality up and prices down!

Thanks for your review, Todd! We are glad you enjoy your new Brooklyn!
Falling in love (Again)

I remember when I bought my first instrument about 10 years ago (bass guitar) and I remember falling in love with the sound and feel of that instrument. Well today I received my first acoustic guitar that I get to own and I'll tell you that I've gotten that same feeling from 10 years ago. The quality and sound is just perfect and for its price I would recommend any beginner or intermediate player to pick up this guitar and play. I spent months reviewing Orangewood and their product and well I only wish I would have bought this guitar a lot sooner!

Excellent guitar at an amazing price

I was skeptical about purchasing this guitar but figured I would give it a shot. Wow, this guitar is beautiful first of all. There wasn’t one flaw on it. It plays like a dream, and it just rings like a bell. The gig bag is also a great value and very very nice, however, if you are like me I only use hard cases. The “skb-1skb-000” case is a perfect fit for it. If you are in the market for a great valued guitar, give the Brooklyn a try, you definitely will not be disappointed.
