Mostly good (action too high)

I wish I could give 4.5 stars instead of 4. But I can’t give it 5 stars. The action was too high on this guitar. I had to tighten the truss rod quite a bit to get the action down to 2mm. It was sent at 3mm. It plays great now, sounds great, looks great, and frankly smells great (new acoustic guitar smell was strong with the force). I somewhat doubted this guitar was set up in the US by someone that wasn’t just making sure it didn’t buzz.
I just can’t see a true guitarist sending out what this brand considers to be their premium guitar with action like a $200 budget acoustic. The problem is I wasn’t 100% sure I could get the action where I needed it, I didn’t want to tamper with the guitar to a point where I was affecting the return of a mint product to orangewood. Just difficult since you can play this guitar ahead of purchasing. Overall very nice, just wish the “setup” in California was a bit more well done.

Great guitar!

I really love this guitar! It's an outstanding guitar for the price! It arrived in a really nice hard shell case with red felt on the inside and fits really snug to the guitar. The guitar is beautiful, all wood and there is no stain or varnish so it has an all natural look to it which I love! It is very light and sounds amazing. Has a nice warm tone to it when you finger pick and is very chimey when you strum. The high E really rings out when strumming with a pick so embellishing is a breeze. Overall one heck of a guitar for the price and the case is a bonus! Would of given five stars but I do have one complaint. The hard shell case comes with a latch and key with the capability to lock. The case sent to me did not lock. I would put the key in and it would just free spin and never lock. I would like to have a case that locks but there again not a necessity. Other than these minor issues, still a phenomenal guitar and would absolutely recommend the Orangewood Sage to anyone!!

Sage Guitar

You did a wonderful job of getting this product out to people like Marty Swartz. His review was spot on and I am very happy with this instrument.

It's All Good

I'm just a back room player and haven't played in 20 years. Wanted to get back into the guitar so started looking around the net and found the Orangewood. Watched numerous compares and opinions but what sold me was it coming setup. I bought the Sage because it was solid wood and the solid Case was a bonus as well. I have not been disappointed. Strait out of the box it was setup and ready to play. It's size and low action makes for a very comfortable play with a smooth bright sound. It and the case arrived in perfect condition, not a scratch anywhere. The case has a nice snug fit to the Sage and seems well made. It's a beautiful guitar, I'm well satisfied and personally feel I made the right choice and would not hesitated to recommend it to friends.

Love the SAGE

Wow Solid Wood SAGE guitar Grand Auditorium Cutaway at $645 free shipping and free return, decided have nothing to lose for I can return it. Surprise! Thought I would return it…. But…. Love the guitar craftsmanship, sound and intonation right on. Solid wood low action easy play and tone quality found in only in high price guitars. Definitely my sage is a keeper along with my Martin D18 and a quality classic guitar.
