I bought Morgan Spruce Live from Orangewood. Got it for 220.00 because it had a blemish. Guitar arrived within 3 days without issue. Flawless setup. Quality and sound are surprisingly good. I don’t think you can find a better guitar for this price (even if your paying the full 275.00). I spent a month+ looking for a cutaway acoustic and settled on Orangewood. I’ll be buying a Mason Live soon!
Just arrived today and it looks and feels great. The sound is even better though. Very rich and full and loud. I looked it over top to bottom and the only thing I noticed was that one end of the nut (toward the high e) wasn't shaped down or contoured to the neck/fretboard. It was just left with a square edge which is pretty noticable and uncomfortable when playing open chords. The low E side of the nut was contoured and looks and feels perfect. It's a relatively easy fix, though, and only noticable to begin with when playing open chords, so not worth it to take a star away imo. For the price this thing is definitely legit, but I would expect a certain percentage will arrive with minor things that need to be addressed, I probably just got unlucky (but like I mentioned, relatively easy fix).
Great quality, and sound. I purchased a Morgan Spruce top; if you played this guitar blindfolded for the first time, you would think you were playing a guitar that was quite a bit more money. I love the sound. Definitely recommend it.
Wanted the Mahogany, so when it came in, I ordered it. I’m sure the Spruce is a great guitar, but my son really wanted the mahogany. We ordered the Morgan Spruce, because the mahogany was not in stock. When I was informed that the mahogany was back in stock, I simply said the Spruce back. I never even opened the Spruce, so I don’t know what it was like.
