Beautiful Action. Excellent
Second Orangewood
Very very impressed
Thank you for your review and for being a returning customer!
The guitar arrived one day late than estimated which is not Orangewood's fault. The strings were too heavy gauged and squeaked. I changed the strings to Elixir Extra light gauge. The action was too high and was fixed by modifying the saddle height and a truss rod adjustment. I gave 4 stars because the glue job on the bracing was sloppy and there was a spot where white glue had run on the inside of the guitar. There was also a piece of tape and wood shavings inside the guitar. The guitar is beautiful on the outside and plays well after addressing the issues I've mentioned. Electronics work but not fabulous. I would have preferred the Fishman electronics that are on the other guitars of the Melrose collection.
After being tempted by the ads and videos for months I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Orangewood Brooklyn. The last thing I needed was another guitar, (I have 22) but I’m sure glad I chose thus one. Wonderful workmanship, great appearance, superb playability, and a rich and balanced tone. I wanted a slightly smaller guitar to complement my larger Martin, Taylor, Takamine, and Gretsch acoustic-electrics. My new Brooklyn stands tall among them, and fits right in.
I fail to see the scale under specifications?
