Inspired by the beauty of vintage guitars, we added a solid mahogany top and Grover open gear tuners to our Highland collection for an aged look and woody tone.
Take your guitar everywhere with our durable hard case designed for gigging musicians.
Our Highland Live models come equipped with the award-winning LR Baggs Anthem Pickup System, chosen for its warm natural tone and feedback resistance.
I bought a Mason Live last year and loved it. I wanted to upgrade to a solid body after trying an overpriced entry level Taylor 214 because it was the only one that sounded marginally better than the Mason. (I also tried a Martin 000 and a PRS Angelus.) The plan was to wait for this to go on sale for July 4th, but the allure of the Martin name and a guitar store sale led to my buying a Martin GPC 10. BIG MISTAKE. It sounded ok but it needed a setup badly and it didn't come with the mounted tuner as advertised. I was so unhappy that I ordered the Sage as soon as I saw Orangewood's sale email. I am 100% happy with the Sage. The guitar is gorgeous compared to the plain Martin. The hard shell case is far superior to the gig bag that came with the Martin. It was set up and ready to play right out of the box. Needless to say, the Martin was sent back. I should've never bought it... Orangewood offers far more guitar for the money.
I own two Orangewood guitars now. I was so inspired by my Oliver Mahogany Live, that I just had to have the Sage Mahogany Live. Now I have a one great guitar at home for practicing and another at the church where I work and play most of my music. I’m able to do this because of the quality and the price point of these instruments. I’m so glad I discovered Orangewood!
I'm a 60 year old male who decided just a couple years ago to learn to play the guitar. I purchased an Oliver a few years ago. for the money a nice guitar. As I got better at playing, I could notice and sense that it may be time to advance to the next level. Well This Sage sounds great and plays very well. I've not played any other makes yet to compare, but I'll bet this Sage would be right up there with some of the much higher end brands. It came with heavier strings that I typically use, but I'm actually playing them well. Thank you Steven P.
If by just "OK" one means "Orangewood is a Knockout"!! Lovely instrument, way above my paygrade, hoping the inspiration and hard work will come with a promotion. Thanks Orangewood.
I went to Sweetwaters retail store and tried a bunch of high end martins and Taylors. Then I ordered the Sage Live. It plays and sounds as good or better than any guitar I tried! It’s beautiful and sounds amazing
