Received my Oliver today, and I'm very impressed! It came well packed in a high quality gig bag. The guitar is beautifully and flawlessly finished. The sound is wonderful for such a reasonably priced instrument! The strings must have been pre-stretched when installed because they hold tuning wonderfully. I have owned 3 previous guitars. The Oliver is by far the best value for money. I would not hesitate to buy from Orangewood again.
This guitar sounds so good! I was hesitant at first about the quality of the guitar because of the price but I was pleasantly surprised! It has such a warm sound! The finish on the guitar is super high quality as well, I love the dark mahogany look! 5/5 in my book...sounds better than some of my much more expensive guitars! Go buy one!
Thanks for trying one of our guitars Zachary! Enjoy!
We love the look and feel of the guitar. It has a very nice resonance, and the action is good on the lower frets. There is an obvious unevenness in the frets when sighted down from the headstock on the high E side, and a marked high fret at fret 10 on the same side. This causes a noticeable buzz when playing individual notes on the high E string or when capo is applied from fret 6 or 7 up. I wasn’t expecting perfection from a guitar at this price, but was a little disappointed with this one problem. It should have been caught before the guitar was shipped in my humble opinion.
beautifully made guitar...such a great deal
