This guitar exceeded my expectations at this price point. Plays well, feels good and looks nice. Shipped fast and free. Nicely done orangewood.
Great quality and craftsmanship. I also bought the accessory pack with the guitar - my son loves it! $ well spent. Thank you!
Great sound for a small body hpl guitar. Easy to play. Came set up perfectly and ready to play out of the box. Will definitely recommend and make future purchases.
Love this new mini guitar mahogany Dana the tone is just wonderful came in set up perfect in tune ready to play will buy Again Jim LaRose
For the price, this guitar greatly exceeded my expectations. The set-up was perfect right out of the box. Nice low action, no sharp frets, no buzzing strings, and the build quality was very good. I really appreciate that the guitar has a bone nut and saddle, which is unheard of on a guitar at this price point.
The tone is a little "boxy", but that is to be expected for an all-laminate small body guitar. On that note, I'm not a fan of the stock Ernie Ball 80/20 Bronze strings. I think they make the guitar sound too "jangly". I immediately removed them and installed a new set of Phosphor Bronze strings and this improved the tone considerably.
Other observations: The guitar stays in tune well when playing, but tends to drift sharp when not played. Not a fault of the tuners, just a characteristic of the thin neck profile. As long as you tune before playing, it shouldn't be a problem. Also, the D and G strings tend to occasionally bind in the nut when tuning, resulting in the familiar "ping" sound. Here's a simple fix; loosen the strings and lubricate the nut slots with some pencil lead or graphite. Problem solved!
Overall, I'm very pleased with the Dana Mini. It's a perfect size for a traveling or to just have within arms reach in my home office whenever I feel inspired.
