Highly Recommend! Pleasantly Surprised!

This guitar came to my home spotless with zero flaws. Plays & sounds like my Sitka Spruce nylon from Taylor for a fraction of the price. The playability is so so smooth with an elegant yet rustic beauty that brings memories of the cedar forests surrounding Seattle. Highly recommend as the setup was perfect. The only place you can tell they took the cheaper route is with the tuners. However this looks to be an easy upgrade. Well done Orangewood!

Beautiful Well-made Guitar

First of all, I want to confess up front that any of my comments about tone quality, projection levels or playability would have had to have been taken with a grain of salt because this is my first classical nylon guitar, so I really have nothing else in its class to compare it with. That said, I have owned many other guitars including Hollow bodies, semi hollow, acoustic, and Solid bodies, therefore, I certainly consider myself qualified to comment on such things as tuning, fit and finish, intonation and the like. Let’s start out with fit and finish, because this guitar is absolutely gorgeous and obviously built and inspected by people that take pride in their work. As for intonation, I have never owned a guitar (especially an acoustic) that was absolutely perfect. The intonation on the guitar that I received was very good! As for tuning and the ability to hold tune; this was the one flaw that I found in this guitar. Not horrible but certainly not on par with the rest of the build (which I thought was exceptional for the price. (545.00) After a thorough inspection I was pretty sure that the problem lied within the tuning machines. They were obviously relatively cheap and operated with creaks and squeaks which caused me to overshoot the mark when trying to dial in the open string tuning. Especially on the G string. After carefully measuring the diameter of the tuner rollers and the distance between mounting screws, I order a set of tuners from Amazon by Gotoh for 90 bucks that I was reasonably sure would fit. They fit absolutely perfect with no modifications whatsoever. In my mind it took this guitar from quite good to excellent (especially at this price point) I am confident that anyone who can handle a screwdriver would have no problems making this modification at all. So, all-in-all, I can highly recommend this guitar to anyone that is looking to purchase a really beautiful and well-crafted nylon guitar without breaking the bank. My feeling is that Orangewood is poised to be a major contender in the guitar manufacturing industry! Try it. I think you’ll like it!

As advertised

I received my Mason ceder live in great condition.
Action was a bit high. I lowered the saddle and added new strings. This is my 1st orangewood guitar and looks, plays and sounds great. Well worth the money at this price point.

Great Price - Great Guitar

I'm very happy with my guitar! It sounds wonderful, looks amazing, and still has the amenities that a lot of classical guitars do not have, like the the ability to connect to an amp, and the nuts for attaching a strap. Overall, I like it a lot!
