We opened up Orangewood’s Los Angeles HQ for a night of tacos, community, and music. Introducing our new showcase series, After Hours! Hosted in collaboration with Make Out Music, these live events are a gathering space for local artists to kickback, share their talents, and celebrate the magic of guitar.

After a long time without live music, we’re so thankful to come together again. From tour announcements to music festival lineups, concerts are finally back — and we couldn’t be more ready! For our kickoff event, we brought in an all-star lineup of some of our favorite local Los Angeles artists, including longtime friends of the Orangewood Family.

Feeling the FOMO? Here’s a recap of everything you missed during our first-ever After Hours showcase.

First up: Arthur Blue! You may remember the talented songwriter from his Orangewood Single, “Dancing Queen.” Arthur kicked off After Hours with a folksy, intimate performance that showcased his range. From debuting a new song to ending with the fan-favorite, “Felt & Forgotten”, Arthur always brings the emotion.

Remember the name, Sadie Jean. The rising TikTok star showed us just how much power a voice and guitar can command on stage. During her set, Sadie blessed us with an acoustic rendition of her breakout song, “WYD Now?”, which just hit over 50 million streams on Spotify. Make sure to keep her on your radar, with a debut EP about to drop, Sadie Jean is a star on the rise.

As the night came to a close, we welcomed Runnner to the Orangewood stage. Known for his colorful live performances featuring an ever-expanding crew of Los Angeles musicians, Runnner is one of indie's most exciting new acts. For his After Hours performance, though, we were treated to an extra special stripped-down set of some of Runnner’s biggest songs. Pairing guitar dynamics with witty lyrical musings, Runnner grounded us all in the moment.

That’s a wrap! Shout out to our Orangewood and Make Out Music team for hosting a beautiful night of live music — and for bringing our community together once again. There’s still so much more to come. Stay tuned for our next After Hour’s announcement coming soon :)
