Meet the all new Topanga Collection — our premium all solid collection. Inspired by the beauty of nature, we sought out to build a guitar that evokes your sonic escape, an instrument to help you unplug from everything else. Made with superior tonewood for lush acoustics, we’re introducing three new models to the Orangewood roster as part of the Topanga Collection: Berkeley, Sierra, and Cleo.
Topanga is our first collection to feature solid pau ferro, added to the guitar’s back and sides. Similar to rosewood, but a bit denser, pau ferro is a sought-after wood for its responsiveness and bright sound. For a balanced, dynamic tonal range, we topped our Topanga models with torrefied solid Sitka spruce. Whether you’re a powerful strummer or delicate finger-picker, the versatility of Sitka spruce is well-suited to match any playing style.
Along with a natural gloss finish, the torrefied top illuminates the golden glow (reminiscent of California's iconic sunsets) just like an aged guitar, but you’ll get all the conveniences of a modern instrument. Since the spruce tops are uniquely torrefied, the finish has a slight variation in color, making each guitar truly one of a kind. To round out Topanga’s superior tonewood, we added an ebony bridge and fingerboard for an effortlessly smooth and comfortable playing experience.

To honor Orangewood’s California roots, we designed the Topanga Collection to capture the essence of natural beauty. The mother of pearl inlays and abalone detailing showcase Topanga’s subtle, yet elevated aesthetics. Taking inspiration from vintage design sensibilities, the headstock gets a refreshed look with an updated logo design, plus Grover open gear tuners and gold hardware. To complete the look, every model comes with an optional tortoiseshell pickguard, designed specifically for the Topanga Collection.
