I'm 100% positive I'm not the only person who got stir-crazy during COVID. Also, after doing nothing but work and college, I was getting burnt out. So, after 11 years I decided to pick up guitar again. Obviously being a college student I am on a budget, and being basically a novice, I was looking for something within a budget and something that will last (aka, not a piece of trash). And this guitar fits the bill!
ALSO, USE HONEY WHEN CHECKING OUT. there is a coupon for $21 off. thats a free accessory kit. and the capo is super sturdy! you really can't beat it.
good luck on your search!
When I first got my new guitar I thought it sounded tinny. I was using a medium pick, then I saw a video where it was suggested to use a thin pick. It made a big difference in the tone. I am over all happy with the Florence Parlor and wanting to see how the tone changes over time.
For the three odd months I've had this guitar it has been great, in all honesty the quality and feel of this instrument is on par and even surpasses some other instruments that I've spent much more on. The sound is pretty good all things considered, don't expect it to sound as full as a $2,000 acoustic but it has a unique sound and is more than serviceable. The setup out the box was great, I did a slight truss rod adjustment as this was set up in sunny California and I received it in a much more frigid area. Super playable, very comfortable, and overall one of my favorite instruments in the collection. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get into guitar or someone looking for a smaller sized guitar for ease of access and traveling.
I can't say enough great things about Orangewood acoustic guitars. The latest purchase has me just as happy as my Oliver purchase. This Parlor guitar sounds so nice and warm and just like a Parlor guitar should. It's comfortable to play and a really size compact design with a BEAUTIFUL sunburst top.You will not be disappointed with Orangewood. Can't wait to purchase one of their higher end guitars.
My second budget OW...this time the parlor sized for daughter. As with my Morgan, the value is untouchable, the quality great, the playability impressive, the set up superb, the sound excellent for the size/build. I'm still waiting for my upgraded OW LEFTY... how about an Ava or Hudson?
