The “almost perfect” sale price was too good to pass up as a camping guitar and as a project to install an inexpensive trans-acoustic preamp (Double Acoustic Y11 from Amazon) to fool around with. Overall quality is good with nicely polished frets and smooth fret ends. Very minor blemish, as expected, on the spruce top. Good playability although the action was a bit high which was okay because I had to sand the saddle anyway to install the piezo pickup. For anyone contemplating installing the trans-acoustic pickup, it is a fun project and lets you add effects without an external amp by adding a transducer inside the back of the guitar making it into a speaker. I’m not sure how much I’ll use it but for the price it was worth it, and the Dana was definitely worth it.
