Best parlor for the price

I bought the Julian live sight unseen. Not too worried because the return policy is good. I’ve had it for a few weeks now and out of all the parlor guitars I’ve tried this one is defiantly the best. Great tone unplugged and plugged in. It plays great. I use this guitar for primarily Travis picking which I have an entire section of my show that has Travis picking covers of tunes that are not normally played that way. It’s perfect for what I’m using it for and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve used it live in my past 5 shows and it is killer. The only other guitar I was considering was an Alvarez but this one just sounds better. There are better parlor guitars out there but they are well into the $3000-$7000 price range which was the argument with your wife kind of price range lol. I do wish there were some better examples of this guitar being played online. The ones I saw have excellent players but they are playing more classical than folk/americana. Either way I took a chance and I’m glad I did it is an excellent guitar!

Top Wood Guide

Spruce

A classic tonewood for acoustic guitars, spruce is a well-rounded, durable wood that’s suitable for many styles of playing.

Torrefied Spruce

A vintage-inspired upgrade, torrefied spruce is roasted to remove excess moisture, so the guitar continues to play at peak performance.

Mahogany

A common tonewood for top, back, and sides, Mahogany is known for its clarity and evenness to accentuate the mid-range tones.

Cedar

An excellent topwood for classical guitars, cedar is perfect for delicate playing styles, like fingerpicking and soft strumming.
