ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: ARTHER BLUE
Arther Blue is a Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter with his roots in the high desert of Arizona, where he first honed his passion for blending melody with the visuals of poetry. Growing up on the pop of the 60s and the folk of the 70s, his songwriting echoes a certain timeless aesthetic. Up until recently, he worked almost exclusively behind the scenes as a writer and producer for other artists and projects, all of which have helped inspire his own music and debut release of Felt & Forgotten. Built on the foundation of modern poets like Big Thief, Phoebe Bridgers, and Big Red Machine, Blue’s debut EP is a significant shift from his previous work for other pop-centric artists. Recorded at the historic Valentine Recording Studios (Beach Boys, Frank Zappa, Haim, Black Lips), the single captures the timeless texture of Laurel Canyon.
