Sierra Live

The Orangewood Sierra Live is an amazing instrument. I would put it on par at least with M and T Brand guitars that cost 4 times more in some cases. Since the Sierra Live also comes stock with the LR baggs Anthem. It’s plugged in sound can even surpass those. It came already setup and played amazingly right out of the box. I only had to do a couple of minor adjustments to my personal preferences but it was very good right from the start. Its tone is resonant and balanced. The guitar just rings out. Harmonics come through in a very sweet way. Being a rosewood fan, I was at first a little concerned that Pau Ferro would not give me the tone I was looking and that the look would not be what I was searching for. However, knowing from past experience that Orangewood would work with me if i didn’t like it, I gave it a chance. I am happy I did. Everything I was looking for is there. The look and sound and playability are great. Everything about this guitar is done well. The build, quality of materials and attention to detail are spot on. You can spend more on a guitar, sure, but this guitar proves that sometimes what you are paying for is the name on the headstock. Because this guitar gives you everything you are looking for in a high quality instrument at a fraction of what other brands cost. The company and customer service are also great. Don’t be afraid to do business with them. They will work with you until you find what fits you the best. Highly recommend them. I am an Orangewood fan.

I love my new Sierra. I did lower the action a bit, and put finer strings on it. But it is lovely, and I am so excited to get started again.

After having the chance to play this instrument live, I can whole-heartedly say that this guitar is simply phenomenal! It punches up in terms of comfort and acoustic sound with many of my friends acoustics that are 4x the price, while beating them out in pickup quality when plugged into a DI box. I've had a chance to play the laminate series guitars before and loved them, and am incredibly glad to see that level of quality and craftsmanship scale up to the all solid series.

Wonderful guitar-a joy to play! Sound is inspiring and I believe many songs will be written on this guitar.

I own several guitars, this is by far my favorite to play. The set up is perfect. The LR Baggs is the best acoustic pickup on the market. These Grover Tuners are really nice too, they stay in tune well and adjust smoothly. I’m also a big fan of the satin neck. The Case is really nice as well. This is on par with American made acoustics!
