Great guitar and great quality.

Happy with the guitar
I bought this guitar on faith. Faith in the reviews. Faith in the guitar's description, the manufacturing process descriptions, and the warranty promises of the company. Prior to Covid, I would not have conceived of buying a guitar online, without playing it first. But I have a couple friends who buy guitars online and they have done well. So I pulled the trigger. A few days later my guitar arrived, and slightly ahead of schedule. The outer box was damaged, and there really wasn't any other protection other than the included hardshell case. But the case did protect the guitar, and my first revelation was, just how nice the case is. It really is a nice plush and sturdy case. Then I pulled the guitar out of the case, and it was undamaged. I inspected it carefully and could not easily find any flaws in it's construction or finish. So I tuned it up and walla! It sounds great. And it feels nice in my hands. It probably needs a slight truss rod adjustment, as it buzzes very slightly, but it did come from clear across the country to a very different climate. I bought this guitar on sale, and for the solid woods and quality components, it is definitely a higher quality instrument than offered by other Guitar companies at this price point. So I am very pleased with my purchase. I will gladly recommend Orangewood to my friends.
We are so glad to hear that you are enjoying your new guitar. Thanks for your review, Stephen!
I've played for over 40 years. I've played everything from Alvarez, Ibanez, Taylor, Martin, Breed love, Guild, ect. I don't like buying guitars online without playing them first. Guitars are so individualistic in tone and feel one can have 2 built in the same factory and sound totally different. However, There was something about this guitar that I thought it would be worth the shot and with the guarantee, I thought I would try it.
It came packed very well and nicely snug in the case. The set up was great. The quality was evident when I opened the case. The tone is great. It was bright and solid with the richness I was hoping for. To me, Taylor's are very thin sounding. This one has the resonance of a Martin but the feel was different in a good way.
I'm really enjoying the pickup system. Very nice and clean.
My only complaint is that the battery pocket did not stay attached to the guitar. I picked it up and noticed the pocket was dangling inside the guitar. I was a fraid it could pull apart from the electronics if that happened again. I took it to the local Luthier and we had to attach it two times before we finally got it stick. It's worked so far.
The solidity, tightness, and depth of tone, makes this a great. There was some masking tape I had to remove from the inside as well. So, I can't give it a 5 because of the battery pocket and the overlooked masking tape, but I can give it a solid 4. I would like to play the sitca spruce instead of the mahogany and compare the two side by side but that will need to be another day. For now, I'm very satisfied with the purchase and recommend it to my fellow players.
I had an old "Hand Me Down" classical nylon string guitar before this. I had been playing it for a long time and felt it was time to move on to something a little bit nicer. I was at a guitar lesson and my guitar teacher was restringing a guitar for somebody and this is the one they had. He let me play it and I instantly knew it was the one. So I decided to buy one. I have loved it ever since I got it. It is a stunning looking guitar and it plays amazing. I have played high end Martins' and Taylors' but I like the sound of the Orangewoods more. I am not saying it is perfect there are a few slight things that could be tweaked but they definitely don't stop me from giving this guitar five stars! It also comes with a super durable high quality hard case that is just perfect! I would definitely recommend this company and especially this guitar! Great job Orangewood!
