Hello, Orangewood family.
Like I said, I love my guitar. Buying a new guitar has made me feel like it is truly mine and having it here has inspired me to pick it up more and continue with my learning process.
However, there are a couple of questions that came up as time passed.
When I am tuning the guitar there is a plinking sound from some of the strings, especially the 4th through 6th ones, that I heard someone say may be from the nut and lubing might take care of it.
I also think the tuners seem to be spinning without anything happening for a while when I tune the guitar. If I decide to upgrade the tuning machines, is there a set you recommend and could you tell me the size of the pegs, or maybe a model? I was thinking Goto tuners, but I’m not sure.
The guitar holds tune OK, but when I am tuning it I get the impression describe above.
There were a couple of places with scuff marks, one on the headstock and another on the body. No big deal.
Again, I am happy with the guitar, but I’d like to tweak it a little.
Also, is there a cleaning solution or kit you recommend? I was looking at one from Music Nomad.
