I’ve been playing my new Orangewood Mason Live guitar for a week now and I must say that I am extremely satisfied! I played many different guitars (Martin, Taylor, Breedlove, etc) at my local guitar stores, and nothing measured up to this guitar in terms of quality and value. The Mason Live has a playability and craftsmanship of a comparable guitar with a price tag that is 2-3x of what I paid for the Mason Live!
This guitar rings so beautifully. Very well built. Lovely details. Holds tune. So east and comfort play. I couldn’t be more pleased.
It’s a great guitar for the price. 400$?? I just had too. It’s held up wonderfully and looks gorgeous. The pickups really blew me away. It works great with an amp. My only complaint is the strings it comes with are good but not the best. It makes the guitar sound a tad “tinny” I guess you could say. For a 14 yr old with an allowance of 10 dollars a week. Great guitar.
My daughter recently started learning guitar and was learning in an old Yamaha red label FG75. I have played for 30 years as a hobby and have several other what I call pawn shop junk guitars that play well but aren't of any special quality. I bought the Mason live for her since it seems she's gonna stick with it. I'm now green with envy and must have an Orangewood of my own ASAP! IT'S GORGEOUS! The playability is awesome and the sound is phenomenal plugged and unplugged. It has renewed my interest in finally really advancing my own skills. The gig bag is also very nice. I did feel the need to tighten the truss rod a little since the humidity is so different from California to Georgia and it made it perfect for my action preference. Excellent quality and workmanship.
