I spent about 3 weeks looking for a guitar. My budget was $800-$1000. I am so glad someone told me about Orangewood because I found incredible value in thier guitars. I cannot put my Brooklyn down. It is a beautiful guitar in terms of look and sound. The only thing I changed were the strings, and that really comes down to personal preference anyway.
I bought the ORANGEWOOD BROOKLYN model guitar today and I am amazed at its beauty and sound. I got a great deal on this guitar and the workmanship is on par with a much more expensive guitar. I also own a TAYLOR and TAKAMINE guitars and know quality instruments. I recommend this model and commend the company and their luthiers. I will enjoy my ORANGEWOOD guitar for many years. Like other reviews, the Brooklyn is a wonderful guitar. It is well appointed, beautifully crafted and a dream to play. I can’t believe the quality for the price. The set up was perfect and the action was how I like it. The tone is exactly what I was looking to add to my collection. It is extremely playable and has become my go to for practice sessions. The gig bag is an excellent bonus accessory. I often bring this to work for my downtime. I would highly recommend Orangewood and see myself adding other styles in the future.
I think it’s a great guitar at a great price point. The idea of an optional pick guard is a great idea. The guitar plays great and sounds great too. My only complaint however is the strings as well as the frets. The strings are not my favorite and the frets felt almost gritty and needed polished. Still an overall great product and company that I would recommend.
Skeptical at first but no more, Having owned many top name guitars,Gibson,Fender,Ovation,Cordoba,Epiphone-many more....it is my go to acoustic, Im sure this guitar would have been triple the price in retail so thank you Orangewood for doing what you do..Keep up the good work...
