( For the money ) This guitar has a few minor cosmetic defects but other than that it is put together well, sat up nicely and plays great. I would definitely recommend this guitar to anyone just starting out or anyone who wants a guitar they don't have to worry about it getting damaged.... Can't wait till Orangewood comes out with a left handed dreadnought.
This is my first acoustic guitar and I can't put it down! The Oliver sounds amazing, the neck feels great and it's just a fun instrument. I am thoroughly enjoying my guitar and would wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone. Whether you're a beginner or just want a spare, do yourself a favor and pick this one up.It's worth every penny.
The crisp resonant tones of the mahogany shined through right when I took it from the box. Every day I play this guitar it sounds better and better!
Every review I'd seen had said the action was setup nice and low on these, but I feel like my lefty's action could've been lower.
I'm gonna take it to my luthier and have him install a pickup in it - as an Oliver Live Lefty wasn't available at the time - and hopefully he can bring the action down some.
I'm eager to take this guitar the other halfway around the world that I didn't take my Martin to, with the included backpack gig bag...
Thank you, Orangewood!
As a pragmatist, I could care less about the brands of what I buy. Is this a good value? I would’ve been happy paying $350 for the guitar and $60 for the gig bag, so yeah it’s a very good deal. Just a wonderful instrument to pick up and play. Great setup out of the box and a rich tone. Hard to beat.
