Brooklyn Mahogany Live - Big Bang for Your Buck

I've been on the hunt for a worthy successor to my trusty $100 Yamaha (which miraculously endured many years of use). In the past, I owned a Martin X-Series grand concert guitar, which cost me around $600 and significantly improved my playing skills. Sadly, I had to sell it to manage some financial hiccups, but I've been looking to find something of a similar caliber. Enter the Orangewood Brooklyn Mahogany Live.

I absolutely love this guitar! I snagged it at a 15% discount, and I can confidently say it's worth every penny. This is my first mahogany guitar, and the aesthetics alone have made me a fan.

I opted for the live version for potential gig use, though I haven't tested the electronics yet. The only minor snag was the internal cable management; I noticed a wire with adhesive hanging loose in the sound hole. It was a quick fix since the adhesive was still sticky, but it's something to be aware of.

The look, feel, and playability of this guitar have reignited my passion for regular playing, which was exactly what I was hoping for with this purchase.

Perfect set up

When I saw this guitar, I was hesitant at first since it didn’t have many reviews. I was also going to ship this guitar to South America so I was worried about the set up and shipping. I talked to the staff at Orangewood about shipping it to South America and they added extra packing for better protection! They are truly awesome. It arrived in perfect condition. Perfectly set up. And it’s a beauty and it sounds amazing! No regrets at all. Will be buying again for sure!

Looks nice, but what’s the difference?

So I compared the Oliver Mahogany Live with the Brooklyn Mahogany live one the website and I was curious what the differences are. I know that this one has an LR Baggs Pick up. So what other difference is there between this one and the Oliver besides looks and pick up systems?
