As a gigging musician in a duo/ solo situation I wanted a less expensive quality guitar for those outdoor jobs in hot humid weather with stellar electronics. The Mason live is that and more. This is my first experience with ovangkol fretboard and bridge and the feel is much like the ebony on my Martin and Taylor. I would value this guitar in the 800+ price range. Very happy.
Much more than your expecting
I am very pleased with my Mason it looks great stays in tune well sounds really good and easy to play
Great looking guitar, minor issue with the finish around sound hole. Love the tone, and really good electronics. Setup was OK, but, action was quite high. Had to take it in to get it set up again. I guess having fret buzz out of the box would be less acceptable to most customers, but having to get the nut filed down and the saddle shaved immediately was a little disappointing. Still, I think I will be getting years of enjoyment from this instrument.
I love the guitar very much. just a slight problem with the set up.. the high E is buzzing but thank you fro sending me a new saddle to fix the problem. I use it for worship at my church and was very suprised at the tone and playablity. it just feels right... the elctronics are off the chart good for a guitar in this price range.. I would recomend this guitar to anyone wanting a solid guitar...
