I am so pleased with this guitar it has a good feel, sounds great and it can be louder than a parlor guitar. However I was going to send it back so that I could buy the more expensive model. I just couldn't give up "The Duke"! I haven't had this guitar in the bag since the day I got it! I have Gibson 125 (1951) Gibson Les Paul (double cutaway) Fender Strat , Breedlove, Taylor, Gretsch, and a Landola (handmade in Finland). The guitar I have played the most since the day I got it was the ORANGEWOOD "The Duke"! I enjoy all my guitars but this was the only guitar I have bought site unseen (risky) and spent pawn shop prices. GET ONE AND PLAY
I am overwhelmed by your fast delivery of my order..my Orangewood Duke arrived in perfect condition and played with it right out of the box. The sound (tone) is above my expectation, the craftmanship is superb and above all it is a very good buy for the price...Very very recommendable indeed.
Let me start by saying WOW!
I live in the Greater Metro Atlanta area. I got my guitar in 2 days. Was waiting for me when I got home from work. Pulled it out of the box and strummed it. The B string was a few cents flat. Set up is great. Sounds great. Have not had an opportunity to try out the electronics but can't see where they would not great. Very pleased with it thus far.
amazing, loved it!
I had few questions marks before buying it, everyone has! But I decided to send an email and see if they could help me... and they DID.
Mr Antony was great, help me out, explain and HE WAS RIGHT. No words like I said.
Thank you .
DUKE is definitely a great move. Powerful in its sound with the depth that characterizes a JUMBO.
I have tried others with large body sizes and the DUKE is a great investment.
I am happy with the purchase, it is easy to play and the sound captured through the Fishman is very good.
As a slight disadvantage is that its tuner could be improved
And the string action could have been better configured from the factory. At least my new DUKE had the height a little over 2.95 mm, but this is a little less and can be solved with a quick calibration.
