Good solid guitar at this range

My 2nd orangewood guitar.

Pros:
Beautiful, elegant, natural, solid. Very bright sound and performed very well in mid range fret. Hard case included. Very nice set up by orangewood and easy to play.

Cons:
A little weak in high fret with weaker resonance but it's the character of Mahogany. A little glue visible in interior. And the finish has some particles that didn't feel smooth.

It's a nice solid wood guitar with very reasonable price. The only con might be the sound. I don't mean the sound is not good, it's just not performed very well in high fret range. I think the spruce sound is more attractive to me, but this one sure is the most beautiful. Sadly, I missed the 20% discount deal in one month LOL.

update:After 2 years I still love my SAGE(live)

Only con: which isn't really a con. I just cannot get into playing the guitar with the 'live' equipment. I run it through my keyboard amp or the amp in my floor model Roland Intelligent piano., so maybe that's it. Maybe a real guitar amp would make a difference. I think it is the way I play it. I just don't like the way it sounds. I feel I have less control over the strings, if that makes sense. Whatever the case I am sorry I got the amplification 'live' stuff.

Other than that I LOVE my Sage. The tone is warm and rich. Toward the end of last year (2021) it got a really bad buzz in it. I couldn't play on the lower frets and one or two of them on one string had the same note as the next fret. When I ask Orangewood about it they suggest I take it to a shop and have it adjusted. And I read the fine print in some of my documentation and saw that it said the guitar should be adjusted (if that is the proper word) once a year. I attempted to adjust the truss rod but it only helped a little bit. I planned on taking it to a shop when the weather got warmer, but then came spring the issue went away.

I think they also suggest I get some kind of humidity thing to put in my case. . .but I don't keep the guitar in the case because play it pretty must every day for a good part of the day. I play it while I watch TV and if I am in my dinning room at my computer I'll have it in here and pick it up from time to time and play. I have noticed that sometimes in the morning when I play it it sounds different, but as the morning wears on the rich deep sound come back.

Bottom line . . . I'd recommend it, though just the SAGE, not the SAGE LIVE. . .which my issue with it could be ME an not the guitar.
