Beautiful little guitar! Looks and sounds great, so easy to hold and to play! Was set up perfectly when it arrived and the intonation is spot on. I'm in love! I have finally found my perfect guitar!
Nice big beautiful sound from such a small package at an unbeatable price. Absolutely love it.
I received my Oliver Jr. just about the same time the Corona outbreak hit the U.S.
Other than short walks, I’ve only ventured outside three times (in three weeks). Knowing everyone would be subject to sort of a national quarantine, I figured there’s no better time to spring for a new acoustic since I’d be shut-in and have extra time on my hands. I’m in my sixties and have a little arthritis setting into the fingers so I thought a parlor or mini might be a little easier to play, (since the strings are shorter, less string tension?). This Oliver Jr. is set up beautifully( by Orangewood), with lower fret action than any other acoustic I’ve ever owned, (I’ve had many and still own 5). I don’t know how they do it without any fret buzz! This guitar plays as easy as another acoustic guitar I own that is “known” for its “easy play” but costs me three times the price! It’s set up as low as any of my electrics! My only suggestion would be to offer it with a wider neck ( 1.75” nut) since my fingers would like a little extra room but I knew all the specs before I bought it so can’t say anything bad about this guitar. I can’t imagine anyone not liking the Oliver Jr.
After watching several several Youtube guitarists such as Phillip McKnight, Mary Spender, Darrell Braun (and many others) play and rave about your guitars, I was very intrigued but still had reservations about getting one. I have been playing for close to 40 years and like most things, if the price seems too good to be true, there's gotta be a catch. that and the fact I have never bought a guitar without playing it first. I saw the 30 day return policy so I said what the heck. I am glad I did. What a great guitar.I had to do a little tweaking to the truss rod once I got it (California to a freezing cold Seattle is to blame for that) It sounds so full for a guitar this size and there wasn't a buzzing fret anywhere. I inspected every square inch expecting to find flaws in the workmanship but it's just a beautiful guitar, it stays in tune and sounds amazing.I am very pleased and I'm recommending these guitars to anybody looking for a new acoustic.
