I like this guitar, no doubt, but I have trouble getting the right tone with the controls. It’s been trial and error since they are not marked for you to know if one is bass and the other is treble. Without any marks on the buttons, I just move them back and forth and strum to hear and listen for a balance. Even a little dot on the buttons will be helpful. My previous guitar from a different brand had marks that helped you know how much bass or treble you were adding, and you were able to gauge it and save that setting for a performance. I’ve searched on YouTube for any videos that can help with this and I haven’t found one. I hope someone can contact me and help out.
This is a beautiful, well made, great sounding guitar, out of the box it’s Very playable, low action, great sound. I’m particular about strings, so, I’ll be changing mine to elixirs, I wish they would switch to these strings.
Well, I live in Canada and I just received my Orangewood echo today. Since Orangewood doesn’t ship to Canada I had to have a friend in Los Angeles send it to me. The duties were $87 Canadian so not too bad. Super excited, it sounds awesome. I will be changing the strings to elixir which are my favourites other than that super happy! Love the finishes - the ebony fretboard and the inlay etc.
I’ve had my new Echo for over a week now. I’ve already put a lot of hours in-to playing it. I’ve owned some top rated guitars over the years but I can honestly say that this Orangewood Guitar is the most comfortable, best sounding guitar I’ve ever had. I actually returned a D-28 to Guitar Center because it didn’t compare to this Orangewood Echo. I’ve adjusted the action to my liking and even replaced the strings with my favored strings, and now it’s perfect. I strongly recommend purchasing this guitar. You won’t be sorry.
