Great sound, impressive build quality.
Like the guitar, there’s a little dull buzz on B string (9th and 101th fret). I like the action pretty low, so I’m sure I can fix it. Do you have a suggestion?

I was looking for an inexpensive guitar to take camping and after looking at all the options I decided to give the Orangewood Oliver a try. There were so many positive reviews on Youtube and the price was in the budget I wanted to spend. The guitar did not disappoint. It plays as easily as my Martin D12e but cost over $1,000 less. The sound was a little boxy compared to my dreadnaughts but it has suprising sustain and a sweet sound. The fit and finish were better than I expected. There were a couple of rough spots but a quick buffing with extra fine steel wool brought the finish up to a high quality. I've looked at guitars costing 3 times as much that didn't look this nice. The only complaint I have, and the reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5, is the bridge pins. I wanted to change the strings and the plastic pins don't have a shoulder that a bridge pin puller can work with. The only effective way I could pull the pins was to loosen all the strings off completly and reach my hand through the sound hole to push them out from below. Orangewood could remedy this really easily by just using a shouldered pin. Other than that I very highly would recommend this guitar for someone who is looking for a travel guitar to take camping or the beach or for a beginner looking for a first guitar.
Also a shout out to Orangewood's great customer service!
Thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback!
Where do I start? Everything about this affordable instrument is top-notch. I went over this guitar when I first received it with a fine-toothed comb. Fit and finish are actually excellent. Far beyond my expectations. Tight seams. No overhanding fretwork. No fret buzz. No lift in the bridge. The nut and saddle, being real bone, are features of (usually) much more expensive guitars. The tone is warm and resonant. I could not be happier.
Thank you for your review, Troy! We're glad you're happy with the fit and finish!
Great guitar, well worth the money. Keep up the good work Orangewood.
Thank you, Jeffrey! We love what we do!
