All our guitars are professionally set up by our expert technicians for the smoothest "out of the box" experience for our players.
Inspired by the sound and beauty of vintage guitars, we’ve added a solid Mahogany top and Grover open-gear tuners to our Highland Collection for an aged look, woody tone, and a timeless impression.
Take your guitar everywhere with our first-ever hard case. Designed for durability and comfortability, it’s made for the guitarist on the go.
All our Highland Collection models feature an ebony bridge and fingerboard to add balanced bass and a smooth feel that guitarists love.
We use Ernie Ball Earthwood Phosphor Bronze acoustic guitar strings for a warm, distinguished tone with golden clarity.
The Ava is a perfect shape and comfortable enough to be held in your lap when sitting down or when sitting on a chair or seat. The Satin on the Mahogany is perfect, as it has a little shimmer of light when facing it at some angles. A minor thing was a small truss rod adjustment since the top E string was experiencing some buzz, though a simple 1/8 turn was all it needed. A perfect guitar, and one to last, as the tuning stability and tone are perfect.
Guitar is SUPER good quality along with the case...it’s not a cheap gator case...only thing missing in the shipment was a 6 pack to rock out with
Love the sound of this beautiful guitar! And to top it off the case is solid with good padding as well. Looking into getting more Orangewood guitars now for my son and daughter.
This is one of the best brown guitars I've ever seen and heard. The hard-shell case is also very good and they don't skimp on the padding like I see on other hard-shell cases. The strings at first sounded a bit zingy, but mellowed out after a couple weeks of playing. Sounds awesome strumming and fingerpicking! There's a certain mellowness and deep power that sounds absolutely brilliant that comes with brown guitars and this one is no exception—rather it exceeds it in spades! The only issue I have with the guitar was the action on the first fret. I measured it with a gauge and it came out to be 0.5 mm for the higher strings, which I feel is a bit too high.
The quality of materials and craftsmanship is excellent. Lots of others have said it, and I will echo their comments; this guitar is on par with the $2,000+ guitars from Martin, Guild, Taylor and Gibson. I currently own guitars from each of those manufacturers (ranging from $2,100 - $5,000) and my Ava Mahogany from Orangewood is every bit as good and easy to play. Factor in the cost and it’s a grand slam. On a side note, the hard shell case is also well-made and a quality piece.
