Great Value

As a pragmatist, I could care less about the brands of what I buy. Is this a good value? I would’ve been happy paying $350 for the guitar and $60 for the gig bag, so yeah it’s a very good deal. Just a wonderful instrument to pick up and play. Great setup out of the box and a rich tone. Hard to beat.

Thank you for your review, Robert!

It's a Gem!

As a left handed player, it is very hard to be able to get hold of a quality concert style guitar under $200, but OW was able to deliver it along with a decent gig bag.
This left handed Oliver Mahogany is an absolute beauty. It plays well, sounds great and smell good too. OW have done an excellent job in creating this stylish guitar a this price point .
The tuner is decent, the setting is great. The satin finish is very nice. One thing that really stands out for me is the slight and almost imperceptible bevel shaped all around the binding couple with a great nice warm sound gives you a very 'cozy'and 'friendly' feeling.
On closer examination, all frets are properly dressed except the last five close to the sound hole, but a little bit of filing and crowning take care of the issue. The bridge still has some fainted saw-marks and couple bridge pin holes are larger causing the pins to sink in more than the rest.
The saw-marks were taken care by some micromesh pass and buffing to give it a look of "hand-made" and a new set of ebony pins take care of the uneven holes.

Overall this is an excellent guitar and a "steal" for all "southpaws" out there still looking for a good guitar.

First guitar

This is my first guitar and was patiently waiting for the left handed version. Very happy with overall quality and shipping process. Bought the accessory kit too which allowed me to tune. Only recommendation might be to offer a “light” version of the strings as I’m a beginner and would have selected them if they were an option. Highly recommend Orangewood and hope other models are offered in left hand in the future.

Buy it!

I’ve own a ‘36 Martin 0-17L and a ‘74 Martin D-35L and I confidently report that this Oliver can punch with both of them. I am ecstatic about this Oliver guitar - punches well above its weight class and is exactly what I wanted - a mahogany 000 guitar with great tone and projection. If you are in the market, buy it. If it were lost or stolen, I would buy another in a heartbeat.

Great guitar! Great company!

I bought a left handed Oliver mahogany for a family member and we are very pleased with it! I really like the look and styling of the Orangewood guitars, they look better than a lot of higher cost brands. The setup and tone are excellent as well. There was a slight flaw in the finish of the guitar and Orangewood gave me 3 different options to make it right. I was very pleased with the whole experience and ended up buying an Oliver Jr. in Mahogany for myself!
