Well, when I first received the guitar I was completely taken by the it’s beauty. I’m admittedly very picky about a guitars setup and action, always having t tweak the truss rod or sand down the saddle. The guitar was setup perfectly! The only thing that I did not like were the strings Everyone ear is different and once I put on My personal favorite go to strings I felt the guitar just sang!! As I played the the guitar more it is definitely opening up. I who highly recommend that if you are looking for a solid wood, well built guitar at a very reasonable cost, Give Orangewood a look. You won’t be disappointed !!!
I’ve been playing for about 15 years now, and this guitar plays as well as the ones that cost 3x as much. This is an absolute steal for the price, and plays like a dream out of the box. Finger playing sounds heavenly, noted explode out of the guitar when playing lead with a pick, and it’s probably the best balanced mahogany acoustic I’ve played. An absolute slam dunk of an acoustic for the price. You’d probably have to pay -atleast 3x this to find something better.
So light and responsive, my Sage Mahogany has a warm midrange and brilliant harmonics... Love this guitar! LL
This guitar has those amazing mid tones that I was looking for in a solid body Mahogany acoustic guitar. It’s lightweight and feels incredible to strum, finger pick, or any other style you have. This guitar is incredible for the price and the hard case included is also a huge perk. I looked all over for my next acoustic and I was nervous ordering one without having played it but the reviews say it all. This guitar is fantastic and this won’t be the last Orangewood I buy.
Really nice guitar with great balanced tone and projection, excellent playability, and rich dark aesthetics. Somewhere between my Martin DJR and Taylor 114ce as far as my intermediate ear can appreciate. Probably cant beat the value which makes sense given the digital distribution model.
