No complaints at all. Beautiful looking guitar with near perfect playability!
So far I have the Oliver Spruce that has been great and also bought the Oliver Junior in mahogany. Love them both. I have not played in over 30 years and I’m have a great time learning on both.
The Oliver Spruce came set up well, looks great, sounds great, and is fun to play. It even smells good. Just need to switch to my preferred strings and it's good to go. Definitely worth the $180 I paid for it!
Love my new orangewood guitar.
This guitar is amazing for the price. Has incredibly low action out of the box and the overall feel and sound is close to a 600$ guitar. Some flaws were the G and B string nut slots were too tight but a quick filing sorted that out. The finish work is great but it’s a tad thick and the finish on the top has flaws. There is grainy feeling spots and there is a tiny piece of thread of hair stuck under the finish on the treble side. Further, there was also a very small chip on the bridge in front of the saddle on the edge, leaving an unstained look that I had to cover up with sharpie to blend in. The top is also a little thick and could be thinner. Tuners work excellent, fretwork is great, and the looks are killer. The bag it came with was top notch and was on par easily with Martin gig bags. The rosewood rosette is also really cool and something that guitars this cheap don’t ever have let alone anything else below 1000$. I’d say I’d expect some better finish work on the top and this guitar would have a perfect rating because the bridge chip could have been from shipping. There are also other very minor dings in the finish in some spots like the side and neck though they are barely noticeable and you can see where they missed some stain on the bridge towards the bottom. Some of these are nit picky but if the finish on the top was better executed and no thread trapped along with no chip in my bridge it would be the perfect guitar for this price. Now I’m gonna go play it haha
